FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

“I’ve been on my hands and knees working three feet from an adult male lion while he was eating raw meat. I’ve photographed the entire coastline of Florida from a helicopter multiple times. I’ve worked inside a nuclear power plant and over a beating human heart during surgery. I can and will get you the video you need.” — Jeff Dillon
Video production costs depend on the scope of the project. That can range from a single-camera testimonial to a full multi-day shoot. Factors like crew size, the location, equipment, and post-production needs will also affect the final cost.
Our video production packages typically start around $1,500 for a half-day shoot of up to four hours. Video editing packages are an additional cost and vary depending on the amount of footage, length of the finished video, graphics, music, and other editing needs. We’ll put together a quote based on your specific project so you know exactly what’s included and what you’ll receive at the end of it.
Timelines vary based on the size and complexity of the project, but most video production follows three phases: pre-production (planning, scripting, and scheduling), the shoot itself, and post-production (editing and revisions).
A simple social media video might be ready within a week or two, while a full commercial with multiple locations, more involved editing, and several rounds of revisions can take several weeks. Once we scope out your project, we’ll give you a realistic timeline for production and delivery.
We’ve been producing video for more than 40 years at Dillon Media Group. That includes television commercials, social media content, livestreamed conferences, beauty shots for inventory and showrooms, walkthroughs, event coverage, company overview videos, employee spotlights, product demonstrations, training videos, customer testimonials, and more. If you can think of it, we’ve likely done it.
Yes, we can take care of the video scripting for you. We’ll work with you to understand the goal of the video, your audience, and the key points you want to communicate. From there, we can develop a script that stays on message while sounding natural for your business and the people who will be on camera.
Cost is largely driven by the size and complexity of the production. The number of crew members needed, filming locations, actors or on-camera talent, specialized equipment, props, and other production requirements can all affect the overall scope and cost.
Most of our smaller, one-day video shoots run with two to four crew members. As projects become more complex, we may bring in additional camera or directing support, art direction and props, hair and makeup artists, production assistants, or other professionals needed to bring the project together.
Post-production can also affect the cost depending on the amount of footage, editing time, graphics, animation, music, voiceover, and number of finished versions required.
Yes, revisions are built into our process. Once filming is complete, our team will begin editing the footage and bringing all of the pieces together, including video clips, audio, music, graphics, text, branding, and any other elements included in your project.
Two to three edit rounds are typical, giving you the opportunity to provide feedback on things like pacing, messaging, graphics, music, and overall flow before the video is finalized. We want to make sure the finished video feels right for your business and accomplishes what you set out to do.
You do. Once the project is complete and final payment has been made, the finished video is yours to use however you’d like. You can publish it on your website, share it across social media, use it in digital advertising, include it in presentations, or incorporate it into other marketing efforts.
If you need additional versions or edits later, such as shorter cuts for social media, updated graphics, or a different format for another platform, our team can help with that too.
We’ll provide the video formats you need based on where and how you plan to use the finished content. Standard deliverables can include vertical 9:16 videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other short-form platforms; horizontal 16:9 videos for YouTube, websites, and television; and 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16 versions for Facebook feeds and digital advertising.
We can also provide caption or subtitle files when needed. If the same video will be used across multiple platforms, we can create different versions so the content is properly sized and formatted for each one.
Yes, we can. Drones are a great way to capture sweeping aerial footage of your property, event, job site, business, or surrounding area that ground-level footage can’t provide. Our pilots are Part 107 FAA Remote Pilot Certified.
All flights are handled with the proper safety and regulatory requirements in mind. We can also incorporate drone footage into a larger video production or capture aerial footage as part of a specific project.
Yes. We think of longer-form video as pillar content because one larger piece of content can be turned into multiple smaller pieces for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
For example, a longer interview, testimonial, event video, or commercial shoot can provide multiple shorter clips. This gives you more content to use across your social media and digital marketing and helps you get more mileage out of a single shoot.
